Why I’m Taking Part in This Autism Fundraiser

Monday 2nd Feb

I’m taking part in this autism fundraiser because autism isn’t something abstract to me, it’s part of my everyday working life.

I’m lucky to work alongside a brilliantly neurospicy team. They bring creativity, honesty, focus, different perspectives, and a way of seeing the world that constantly challenges the idea that there’s only one ā€œrightā€ way to think, communicate, or work. Yes, it sometimes means doing things differently, but different isn’t difficult, it’s just human.

What I see day to day is how much potential thrives when people are understood, supported, and accepted as they are, not expected to squeeze themselves into systems that weren’t designed with them in mind.

This fundraiser is my small way of helping raise awareness, understanding, and practical support, so autistic people can access the spaces, opportunities, and respect they deserve.

Thanks so much for supporting this cause ā¤ļø
