Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I’m taking part in this charity walk for autism because it’s something deeply close to my heart. Autism isn’t just a cause I support, it’s part of my everyday life.
I’m a parent to a child with autism, which has given me a front-row seat to both the challenges and the incredible strengths that come with it. It’s taught me patience, resilience, and just how much the right understanding and support can change a child’s world.
Alongside this, I work in a specialist provision supporting children with autism every day. I see firsthand the barriers they face, but also their determination, individuality, and potential when they’re given the right environment to thrive.
This walk is my way of giving something back. To raise awareness, to support vital services, and to stand alongside autistic children and their families. It’s for acceptance, understanding, and a future where every child is supported to be exactly who they are.
