Intro...

Friday 23rd Jan
Hi, I’m a 37-year-old mum of three, powered mostly by Diet coke, sarcasm, and love. One of my Sons is 17 and proudly living with high-functioning ASD. Life’s has sometimes been loud, messy, exhausting, beautiful… and has occasionally held together with duct tape.
Autism is very close to my heart. It’s not just a word or a hashtag in our house, it’s our everyday reality. The challenges, the wins, the learning curves, the resilience, and the humour you have to develop when life doesn’t follow the neat little rulebook you were promised.
So… I decided to do something a bit wild.
On 26th March, I’m starting a Walk for Autism, committing to 80,000 steps in 8 days—that’s 10,000 steps a day. Yes, on purpose. Yes, I’ve checked my shoes. And yes, I fully expect to question my life choices around day three. (I'd be also happy to receive plenty of snacks) haha
Why walking? Because if you know me I love hiking. Because walking clears my head. And because sometimes the best way to move is forward literally and is always one step at a time, like life.
I’ll be going live daily on TikTok, sharing the journey in real time: the good days, the tired legs, the laughs, the ā€œwhy did I sign up for this?ā€ moments and hopefully inspiring a few smiles (and donations šŸ‘€) along the way. I’ll also be blogging the whole experience, because if I’m doing this, I may as well document the chaos.
This walk isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up.
For autistic kids.
For autistic adults.
For parents who are doing their best.
For families who’ve had to become stronger than they ever planned to be.
If you’d like to support me, you can donate through my Walk for Autism link, or pop into my TikTok lives to cheer me on, laugh with me, or watch me dramatically complain about my step count, all support is welcome
Every step matters. Every donation matters.
And I promise—this journey will be honest, heartfelt, and hopefully pretty funny.
Let’s walk. Let’s talk autism. Let’s do some good. šŸ’™
