Walking for Autism – For My Daughter Sasha 💙
My daughter Sasha is 9 years old, and she has autism.
Autism is not something you “see” straight away, but it affects every part of daily life – for the child and for the family around them. Sasha experiences the world differently. Some days are full of smiles, laughter, and progress. Other days are overwhelming, confusing, and exhausting for her.
As a parent, you quickly learn that autism isn’t a “phase” and it isn’t something that can be fixed. It’s a lifelong condition that comes with challenges, but also with incredible strengths, honesty, and a unique way of seeing the world. Sasha teaches me patience, resilience, and unconditional love every single day.
I’m taking part in a walk for autism to raise awareness and funds to support autism services, resources, and families who are navigating similar journeys. Many families need better access to support, understanding, education, and practical help – not just for children with autism, but for parents, carers, and schools too.
This walk is for Sasha. It’s for every child who struggles to be understood. It’s for every parent who lies awake worrying about the future. And it’s for a world that needs more awareness, patience, and acceptance.
If you’re able to donate, share, or support in any way, it would mean more than I can put into words. Every contribution helps raise awareness and make a real difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting a cause that is very close to my heart.
