Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

Why Autism is so close to my heart ❤️

Hi 👋


I’ve chosen to walk for Autism because it is very close to my heart ❤️ I am a proud mother to an autistic child.


There are laughs, there are tears. There are hard days and the very best days. It can be lonely, and it can be incredibly hard to support an autistic child — especially when you’re fighting to be heard and understood. But one thing I know for certain — I wouldn’t change it for the world 🌎


What I would change is how the world understands and sees Autism. I would change how difficult it is for autistic individuals and their families to access the support they truly NEED and DESERVE.


I’m walking to raise awareness. I’m walking for acceptance. I’m walking for better understanding and better support.
