I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in. 

I’m walking for autism for my son, Toby 💙

Toby is 5 and autistic, and our journey has been far from easy. Behind the smiles are sleepless nights, constant worry, and days where the world feels far too loud and overwhelming for him. Simple things other families take for granted can feel like mountains for us.

What never wavers is how fiercely loved he is. Toby is kind, funny, sensitive, and so deeply cherished. Every hard day is met with unconditional love, patience, and a determination to keep showing up for him, no matter how heavy it feels.

As his mum, I spend every day fighting to have him understood, protected, and supported- in schools, in systems, and in a society that doesn’t always see his needs. There are moments of pure joy and pride, alongside exhaustion, fear, and feeling completely alone.

I’m doing this walk for Toby, for his voice when he struggles to be heard, for his future, and for every autistic child and family walking this same path. Thank you for standing with us and helping to make the world a kinder, more accepting place 💙

I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to raise money for this fantastic charity.
