I'm walking 10,000 steps for Caleb & Autism Awareness

Hi everyone, this month im taking on a huge challenge by walking 10,000 steps every day to raise money and awareness for Autism. I’m doing this for my Caleb, and other children/adults that I have the pleasure of having in my life. As many of you know Caleb is an incredible and very sensitive little boy, but he navigates the world in a way that wasn’t exactly built for him. Every day can be a battle, at school, trying to learn why all the children are being very loud, whispered conversations feel like loud sirens and the volume of people is just too much. So much so I have been homeschooling him now for weeks whilst we wait on a section 19. The outside world is a huge battle also crowded spaces, even walking as he also has hyper mobility and struggles with distance due to painful legs. Caleb is petrified of flies and of late a new challenge that being the wind. Caleb is attached to his ear defenders currently and is also sleeping in them. By walking these steps I want to shine a light on the incredible challenges that Caleb faces each and every day. I’m walking to support a world that is more patient, more inclusive and more aware of the beautiful way that Caleb’s mind works. Please sponsor me and also please share this page. The end is nearly approaching and apart from having a vile cold for the first three days, I’ve nearly completed my challenge for a reason very close to my heart ❤️

With encouragement from my husband we smashed day 4 together. I’m full of cold and after a walk to our local town and back, I couldn’t wait to get back home I’m not going to lie 🙈
