Walking 10,000 steps

Wednesday 4th Mar

Hi I’m Leo and I’m 2 years and 9 months old and my mummy is walking 10,000 steps for 8 days to raise money for children like me ☺️

Sometimes my world feels really big. Bigger than yours.

Sounds can be super loud to me 😢 Even the vacuum or a door closing. Lights can feel too bright. When lots of things happen at once, my body feels wiggly and buzzy, and I don’t know how to tell you “it’s too much.”

So I might cry.

Or cover my ears.

Or run away.

I’m not being bad. I’m trying to feel safe.

I get really excited about the things I love. I can watch the same part over and over. I can line things up just right. That makes my brain happy.

When I flap my hands or spin, I’m not being silly. My body is helping me feel good and balanced. It’s called stimming, and it helps me.

I have Autism, I’m not being naughty or not listing or not doing as I’m told 😢 I’m just a boy who has Autism and that’s okay 🩵

Any donations would be highly appreciated ☺️

Thank you to my donors
