Walking for Autism: Every Step for Kenzo
Monday 26th JanMy son Kenzo is five years old.
He is autistic.
He is non-verbal.
And he is the reason I walk.
Autism is part of our everyday life. It’s in the early mornings, the routines that must stay the same, the challenges most people never see, and the victories that might look small to others but mean everything to us. A shared glance. A calm moment. A step forward.
Being non-verbal doesn’t mean Kenzo has nothing to say. He communicates in his own way—through actions, expressions, sounds, and the quiet strength he shows every single day. He teaches me patience, resilience, and a completely different way of seeing the world.
I’m walking for autism to raise awareness, but also to build understanding. Autism doesn’t always look the same. It isn’t always visible. And it isn’t something that needs to be “fixed.” Autistic children like Kenzo need acceptance, support, and a world that makes space for them to be exactly who they are.
Every step I take is for Kenzo.
For his future.
For inclusion.
For understanding.
I walk so he can grow up in a world that listens—even when words aren’t spoken.
If you’re able to support us, please consider donating or sharing our page. Every contribution—big or small—helps raise awareness and supports autistic individuals and their families.
