This walk is not just about raising money, but about raising understanding
I work closely with early years children with autism, and they continually show me just how unique and capable they are. Every day reminds me how much of a difference the right support, given at the right time, can make. I genuinely love what I do. They have changed my perspective in so many ways. Their honesty, resilience, and the way they see the world truly inspire me. Sometimes it feels like they are teaching me more than I am teaching them. They remind me to slow down, to celebrate small steps, and to see progress in ways I might have overlooked before. This is why I’m taking part in the Walk for Autism.
Greater understanding of ASD is so important, especially in the early years when children are building the foundations for their future. Early intervention can change lives. Speech therapy, sensory support, and specialist teaching are essential.
I truly hope to share this message with people around me, so more people can understand and awareness can continue to grow.
Autism needs to be supported and understood. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential with the right support behind them.
