This year, I’m participating in a Walk for Autism fundraiser — and this one is deeply personal.
Autism isn’t just something I read about or support from a distance. It’s part of my family. It’s part of our everyday life. It’s part of someone I love.
Being close to autism has opened my eyes in ways I never expected. I’ve seen the challenges — the appointments, the advocacy, the extra patience the world sometimes requires. But I’ve also seen the incredible strengths, the unique perspectives, the joy, the honesty, and the brilliance that autism brings.
