Walking 10,000 Steps for Autism – For Lee 💙

I’m taking on the challenge of walking 10,000 steps to raise awareness and support for autism, and I’m doing this for someone incredibly special to me — my great nephew, Lee (borris)

Lee has autism, he is non-verbal and has global developmental delay, but what he may not be able to express in words, he more than makes up for in personality. He is one of the happiest little soles you could ever meet, always full of smiles, laughter, and mischief. Lee has the most amazing character and a very cheeky side. Being around him is pure joy. Lee loves when all his family are toghther he gets very excited and runs up and down hitting his legs and makes us all have a family hug.

Autism affects people in many different ways. no two individuals are the same. Some, like Lee, may struggle with communication, sensory processing, or everyday tasks that many of us take for granted. Families often face ongoing challenges, from accessing support to understanding how best to help their children thrive. Yet alongside these challenges are incredible strengths, unique personalities, and so much love.

By walking 10,000 steps, I’m hoping to raise awareness, show support, and help make a difference  not just for Lee, but for all children and families living with autism spectrum disorder. Every step is for understanding, acceptance, and better opportunities for autistic children to live happy, fulfilled lives.

If you’re able to support this cause, donations of any size are hugely appreciated. There’s a donation link on my page, and every contribution helps fund vital support, resources, and research for autism.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, for supporting me on this journey, and for standing with Lee and so many other amazing children like him. 💙

Together, one step at a time, we can make a difference.
