Walking for Lochlan — My Son, My Heart, My Why

I am walking for my son, Lochlan — my beautiful, non-verbal, autistic 8-year-old who changed my life the moment he came into it.

From 26th March to 2nd April, I will be completing 80,000 steps over 8 days in his honour. Every step I take is for Lochlan — for his future, his happiness, and the world I want to help build for him.

Lochlan is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me. He has taught me more about love, patience, resilience, and what truly matters in this world than I ever thought possible. He may not use words, but he communicates in a thousand other ways — through his laughter, his determination, his hugs, and the pure light he brings into my life every single day.

The world is not always built for children like Lochlan. Simple things many families take for granted can be daily challenges for us. But I will never stop fighting to make his world kinder, safer, and more understanding. If I could change the world for him in a heartbeat, I would — and this charity walk is one small step toward doing exactly that.
