I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to raise money for this fantastic charity. Please sponsor me.

Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated 😊

Being a single mum of multiple children on the spectrum has taught me so much. Everyday is a new day and another opportunity to learn about what best supports my children and family. My children have taught me to never give up, if they can get through life’s challenges then so can I.

They’ve taught me to be strong when I don’t feel strong.

I am their voice when they are overwhelmed or over stimulated.

I am there when they feel all alone.

I am there when they are ready to reach out.

I am forever learning how to be the best version of me so I can always provide a safe place and safe zone for my children to be themselves.

I’m taking on this challenge and would be very grateful if anyone is happy to share my post or donate.

Raising awareness about autism is important, teaching one another to be aware and understanding. This can make the world of difference for just one person with ASD.

My updates

Half term chaos

Monday 16th Feb
Day one of the half term break.
A lot of changes in routine for my children, I’m working a 14 hr shift and hate that I can’t be with the kids to keep them regulated and less stress on them.
Continuous improvement and learning is key, and I will do this every second of everyday just to help them better.

Thank you to my donors
