Why I’m Taking Part in the Walk for Autism

Tuesday 24th Mar

If you know me, you’ll know this isn’t just a ā€œchallengeā€ for me… this is personal.

I’m a mum to neurodivergent children, and that journey has completely changed who I am, how I see the world, and what I fight for every single day.

There have been moments of complete overwhelm, moments where I’ve felt like I’m not being heard, and times where I’ve had to figure everything out on my own. Parenting neurodivergent children is beautiful, but it can also be incredibly tough, especially when the right support isn’t always there.

That’s a huge part of why I created Diverse Minds Community.

A space where parents like me can come together, feel understood, share experiences, and not feel so alone in it all.

Because no parent should feel like they’re navigating this on their own.

But I also know that support services matter. Early help, the right therapies, and people who truly understand neurodiversity can make such a difference to a child’s life, and to the whole family.

That’s why I’m taking part in the Walk for Autism.

From the 26th of March to the 2nd of April, I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day. Not just for the challenge, but to raise awareness and a little bit of money for autism initiatives in the UK, so more families can access the support they need.

If you’re able to sponsor me, even a small amount, it would mean so much. And if not, sharing or supporting in any way is just as appreciated.

Thank you for being part of this with me šŸ’œšŸ’™šŸ©µšŸ’š
