I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

I will be walking to raise awareness for autism as this is a condition that’s close to my heart. My 9 year old son recently has been diagnosed with autism after struggling and fighting for support for over 5 years. Finally after his diagnosis he was taken seriously, more was put in place for him in school and out of school. The change in him and everyone around him since the diagnosis has been amazing. More needs to be done around this subject and parents should be listened to easier when they have a feeling. Children should be listened to and not feel like an outsider or considered ‘naughty’. I will be walking and raising money in hope that awareness can be raised and more help is available in the future. It shouldn’t have to be a battle for children and family’s with autism all that’s needed is understanding and patience.

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to raise money for this fantastic charity. Please sponsor me.
