About Autism

Tuesday 17th Feb
Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a lifelong developmental condition that affects how a person communicates, interacts with others, and experiences the world around them. It is called a “spectrum” because it affects people in different ways — some may need a lot of support in daily life, while others live independently but still face challenges with social communication, sensory sensitivities, or anxiety.

Many autistic people have incredible strengths, unique perspectives, and talents. However, they and their families often need access to specialist support, therapy, education services, and community programs — which can be costly and difficult to access without help.

That’s why we’re taking on a challenge: 10,000 steps a day for 8 days!

By completing 10k steps each day, we’re raising awareness and funds to help provide:

Early intervention and therapy services

Support programs for children and adults

Resources and training for families

Inclusive community activities

Advocacy and research

Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference in helping autistic individuals thrive and reach their full potential.

Please support us if you can — and help us make every step count! 💙

Starts 26th March 2026 to 2nd April 2026
