I'm walking 5,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

I’ll be walking 5,000 steps every day from the 22nd march to the 2nd April for my son, Albie because he deserves a world that understands him, supports him, and celebrates him exactly as he is. 🤍

Albie lives with autism, and while that comes with incredible strengths, it also comes with challenges that many people don’t always see or understand. Every step I take is a step towards raising awareness, building acceptance, and showing him that he is never alone in this world. I want him to grow up knowing that his differences are not flaws they are part of what makes him unique, intelligent, and special.

This isn’t just for Albie. I’m walking for my family members and friends who are autistic too  for the battles they fight quietly, for the times they’ve felt misunderstood, and for the resilience they show every single day. Autism isn’t something that needs “fixing”; what needs changing is the level of understanding and support around it.

These 5,000 steps a day are my commitment as a parent, as family, as a friend. A commitment to listen more, learn more, advocate louder, and love harder. It’s a reminder that progress is made step by step, just like this challenge.

For Albie. For my family. For my friends. For acceptance. 💙
