Walk for Autism

Thursday 19th Feb
From the 26th March - 2nd of April i will be taking part in Walk for Autism.Ā

I’m doing this for my younger self - i grew up feeling different, overwhelmed and misunderstood but didn’t have the words to explain why or receive the correct support. Through-out my childhood, teenage years and early adulthood i have masked, pushed through and tried to fit in all on my own. I don’t want anyone going through what i did and want to support anyone going through the same.Ā

I’m also doing it for my younger brother who has autism. Watching him navigate a world that isn’t built for us has shown me just how important understanding, patience and proper support really is.Ā

Autism isn’t something that needs ā€œfixingā€ - but the lack of understanding and awareness does. Every step i take is for better understanding, earlier support, and a world where autistic people don’t have to struggle in silence.Ā

If you’d like to support me or donate i would be so grateful šŸ’šĀ
