Why I’m Walking for Autism 💚
Sunday 25th JanThis year I’m taking part in Walk for Autism 2026 for a reason that’s very close to my heart.
My daughter Mia is autistic, and every day she shows me the world through a lens of honesty, sensitivity, strength, and joy. Autism isn’t something that needs to be “fixed” it’s something that needs to be understood, supported, and accepted.
We face challenges that many families don’t see sensory overload, anxiety, transitions, and a world that isn’t always built with neurodivergent children in mind. But we also experience incredible moments of connection, growth, and love that I’m endlessly proud of.
By walking for autism, I’m hoping to raise money to support autistic people and their families for better understanding, better resources, and a kinder, more inclusive world.
If you’re able to donate or share this page, it would mean so much to us. Every step I take is for Mia, and for every autistic child who deserves to be celebrated exactly as they are.
Thank you for reading, supporting, and walking alongside us 💚
