I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

I’m taking part in the Walk For Autism fundraiser because supporting young people with additional needs is something that means so much to me. I’ve worked in the SEN sector for the past four years, and in that time I’ve built connections, shared small wins, and witnessed incredible strength and resilience every single day.

I take real pride in my role — not just in helping, but in advocating for the young people I work with, making sure their voices are heard, their needs are understood, and that they feel seen for who they truly are.

A big part of what I do is helping them build confidence, find their independence, and simply being a safe person they can trust. Sometimes that looks like celebrating milestones that others might overlook, offering reassurance on difficult days, or just being there consistently when they need someone most.

This walk is more than just steps — it’s a reflection of the journeys I’ve been lucky enough to witness. I’m walking to raise awareness, to give back, and to stand alongside the autism community, because every young person deserves support, understanding, and the chance to thrive.

Any donations, big or small will be appreciated!
