I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

I was a late diagnosis for autism, and struggled throughout my life not knowing what was “wrong” with me. Not knowing why my teachers wouldn’t help and always branded me as a naughty child. 
A lot of undiagnosed and even diagnosed autistic people struggle with no support and struggle to be understood. This can leave many of us feeling that the problem is us, there is “something” wrong with us. Getting my confirmed diagnosis really helped me to understand my disability and understand what autism is. Even if it meant being diagnosed at 16 at the end of my first college year. The waiting lists are long, the NHS is underfunded. I just want to make a difference for others ❤️


Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to raise money for this fantastic charity. Please sponsor me.
