I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I chose to take part in this cause of my Son Noah he has Autism,ADHD,Delayed Development and hyper mobility.. he is an amazing young man he is so bright and super funny but it isn't without it's challenges some days which I know alot of parents can relate to.. I would like to know that my son has a place in this world and is going to be and feel accepted regardless of the labels he has on him.. the support and the inclusion is what these kids need to strive to be the best they can be so that's why I'm taking part.. For My Little Man and for Autism

I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to raise money for this fantastic charity. Please sponsor me.

Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated 😊

My updates

My little guy

Monday 9th Mar
My son was diagnosed with Autism,ADHD, Delayed Development and hyper mobility at the age of 8 years old.. we all knew when he was younger but had to go down all the correct channels to get that diagnosis that puts you on the path to get the help he so needed and deserved.. it took a long time to get his diagnosis but we got there in the end.. it was struggle after struggle fight after fight to get him the support that he needed wether it was school or out with.. we went from "normal" to chaos over night we both had to learn new things, how to speak to one another, voice opinions and feelings without getting too overwhelmed and ending up in meltdown.. the road hasn't been an easy one at all.. My son is now almost 13 and about to venture into the High School he's had several challenges to face but has over came them his school has been nothing but supportive and caring towards him and the family He's actually excited for things now which he never used to be.. it just shows you that with the right people and the right support any and all kids can flourish and can be strong independent human beings and that's what this is all about.
