Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

My story

Monday 23rd Mar
I was in primary school when I learned that I was neuro diverse, back then there wasn't really much support available. I grew up with teachers not believing. Telling my mum that she had been reading the internet. When she had actually been told by doctors. I have always had a soft spot for people with additional support needs and have said that I would love to work/support children with additional support needs. I have recently discovered that I am likely autistic. I currently work with children that are autistic and have other additional support needs and I couldn't ask for anything more. I love my job. I love celebrating their achievements/milestones however big or small.
