Freddie’s Story

Wednesday 21st Jan

My son Freddie is 14 years old — the funniest, most charming and loving young man with the most beautiful soul. He lives with autism and ADHD, and our journey together has been one filled with challenges, growth, and countless lessons.

There have been moments that have tested us in ways we never expected. Living with autism and ADHD impacts our whole family, from daily routines to education, emotions, and how we navigate the world. Things that may seem simple to others can take extra patience, understanding, and strength for us.

But alongside the challenges are moments of pure joy. Freddie’s humour, honesty, and unique way of seeing the world light up our lives. He has taught me more about resilience, unconditional love, and celebrating differences than I could ever put into words. Despite the struggles, I wouldn’t have it any other way — Freddie is exactly who he is meant to be, and I am beyond words proud of him.

I’m fundraising to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and give back to organisations that support neurodivergent children and their families. No one should feel alone on this journey. With greater awareness, understanding, and support, we can help build a more inclusive world where children like Freddie are not just supported, but celebrated.

Thank you for reading our story and for supporting this cause. Every donation, share, and act of kindness helps make a real difference.
