My updates
This could have started something.
Friday 3rd Apr After a winter of being on my backside waiting for the nicer weather to return, I saw the ad for walk for autism uk and thought I could help raise money and awareness and push myself to loose the winter pounds I'd gained in the process. The 26th came and I started my journey to walk the 10,000 steps, the rural area I live has a variety of different terrains and certainly put my muscles back to work and made me realise how unfit I was after a winter break. Day after day I pushed through to honour my promise of 80,000 steps in 8 days. During the walking I came to realise that I actually enjoyed it as it gave me time to just forget everything that life throws at us and just to enjoy the beauty of the moment, it was eye opening to me as I'd never been one to walk a lot. I decided that rather than 80,000 in 8 days I am continuing 10,000 steps a day minimum every day until I reach 500,000 steps, hopefully between 40-45 days. If I manage that I am going to push the step count to see if I can get to 1,000000 steps. I can't wait to see how my body transforms over the next several months. Thank you to all at walk for autism and to everyone who has supported me. What started as a chance to help others has now turned into a journey of self discovery and discipline.
