Charlie Lewis my amazing son

Saturday 14th Mar
In lockdown our world changed, we started private councilling for Charlie whilst we battled the system to get him a diagnosis. After 4 years of consistent challenges, follow ups with both the education and medical sector we fought to push his diagnosis sooner. After he was diagnosed we were provided with links to books and leaflets we were lost!!! To say it was a shock was an understatement as we were convinced once he had the diagnosis the support would fall in to place. How wrong we were!!!! Whilst Charlie struggles daily he has so much to offer to the world that accepts him, but the fight is for the whole world to understand what Autism is. I am seeing this as an opportunity to express to our son how special he is to us and how we are so proud to call him ours. He has superpowers which he doesn't realise yet but we are hopeful that one day he will understand how amazing he is!! Please help support him, as there is so much change that needs to take place to help children like Charlie thrive in the day to day world. I will never stop fighting but I thank you in advance for your support and look forward to getting fitter in the meantime x
