Taking ever step for him 💙

Friday 23rd Jan
I’m taking part in Walk for Autism, a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group, and this one is incredibly close to my heart 💙

I’m walking for autism because, as most of you know, my three-year-old son is currently going through the autism diagnosis process. Every single day I see how hard the world can be for him. Things many people take for granted, communication, routines, sensory environments, and simply being understood, can feel overwhelming for him. I watch him struggle daily, and while we are still waiting for answers, it’s clear he needs understanding, patience, and the right support to help him thrive.

One of the hardest parts of this journey is how long and difficult the road to diagnosis and support can be. Families are often left waiting months or even years on diagnosis waiting lists, struggling without access to the help, resources, and guidance that should already be in place. Support during this time is incredibly limited, leaving parents feeling unheard, exhausted, and desperate to do the best for their child. Quite honestly, it’s heartbreaking, and it shouldn't be this way.

From 26th March to 2nd April, I’ll be walking 15,000 steps a day to raise money for this fantastic charity. Every step I take is for my son and for others like him, especially those still waiting for answers, support, and understanding.

If you’re able to donate, whether it’s big or small, it would mean more than I can put into words. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting a cause that truly matters to me 💙
