Dan the man!

Tuesday 24th Mar
Meet Daniel, or as we like to call him, “Dan the Man.” 💙 He’s a truly special person and the reason behind this walk. I’ve had the privilege of working with Daniel for over four years. In that time, not only have I learned so much about him, but he’s also helped me learn so much about myself. Daniel has grown into such an amazing young (big!) man, and we are all so proud of everything he’s achieved and continues to achieve every day. His personality lights up every room he’s in, he’s funny, kind, and has a brilliant sense of humour that keeps us all smiling. He has a real love for the things that make him happy, especially animals (with a special place in his heart for orcas 🐋), music boxes, and of course, carousels. The joy he finds in these things is infectious, and it reminds all of us to appreciate the simple, beautiful moments in life. Daniel is also incredibly smart in his own unique way, with a way of seeing the world that is both refreshing and inspiring. He teaches us patience, perspective, and how to celebrate every achievement big or small. This walk is for Daniel to celebrate who he is, how far he’s come, and the impact he has on everyone lucky enough to know him. 💙

Seeing the Person, Not the Label

Monday 23rd Mar

Through my work, I’ve supported young people with autism, learning disabilities, sensory needs and ADHD and one thing is always clear: every individual is unique.

Real support starts with understanding. Taking the time to listen, to look beyond behaviours, and to recognise what someone is trying to communicate can make a huge difference. When someone feels truly understood, their anxiety can ease, their confidence can grow, and their world can open up.

This is why I’m raising awareness and funds for an autism charity.

The right support doesn’t just help individuals it changes lives. It creates opportunities, builds confidence, and helps people reach their full potential.

Thank you so much for your support 💙
