I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

💙 Walk for Autism Awareness Week 💙

This Autism Awareness Week, I’ll be taking part in the Walk for Autism, committing to walking 10,000 steps each day to raise awareness and funds.

As an Assistant SENCO, I see first-hand the incredible strengths of autistic children and young people — but I also witness the daily challenges families face. Limited provisions, long waiting lists, and reduced access to specialist support mean many families are constantly having to fight for the help their children need and deserve.

That’s why this week matters.

The money raised will go towards:

✨ Supported living opportunities

✨ Community hubs

✨ Education and specialist provisions

✨ Outreach and family support services

These services make a real, lasting difference to autistic individuals and their families — helping to build understanding, inclusion, and stronger support networks within our communities.

If you’re able to donate, share, or even join me in getting your steps in this week, I’d be so grateful 💙
