Why I’m walking for Autism
Wednesday 21st JanI’m taking part in the Walk for Autism challenge, and for me this isn’t just a walk it’s something that’s very close to my heart.
I’m 29 years old, and autism has always been part of my family. My auntie lives with Global Developmental Delay and other disabilities, including autism. Growing up, I saw firsthand how challenging the world can be when it isn’t built to be inclusive or understanding.
More recently, my nephew was diagnosed with autism. Watching him grow and experience the world in his own unique way has only strengthened my belief that autism deserves understanding, patience, and proper support and not judgment or misconceptions.
That’s why I’m doing this walk. I’m walking for my auntie, my nephew, and for every individual and family affected by autism. I’m proud to support a charity that means so much to me and one I will always stand behind.
If you’re able to support me, whether by donating, sharing, or simply taking the time to learn more about autism ..  it would mean the world. Every step I take is for a more inclusive and understanding future.
Thank you so much for your support.
