As some of you may know my beautiful Daisy is autistic, she was diagnosed aged 9.
Autism comes with no handbook and everyday in our household is different. Daisy’s world can be overwhelming, unpredictable, and exhausting — yet she faces it with a smile that lights up any room and the biggest heart.
To be honest this walk is not really about steps or distance. It’s about help raising awareness, understanding, funds and finding extra support for autistic children like Daisy and for the families who walk alongside them every day. It’s to help towards funding for vital services, research, and resources.
Autism is not something that needs to be “fixed,” but more support is essential. With the correct understanding autistic children can thrive in life, reaching their full potential in their own unique and wonderful ways.
Daisy tells us when she is older, she would like her grandad to build her a dog grooming salon, as she finds it much easier to be around dogs all day instead of people - some days I have to agree with her! 🤣
Daisy loves animals, cosy socks & Pyjamas (if she could wear new ones every night, she would 🤣) She is obsessed with the ocean & the weather. ☀️🌊☔️
I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to help raise awareness and funds for ‘Walk for Autism’
Thank you for reading & supporting us! You’re helping create a world where children like Daisy are accepted, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are - as they should always be! 🌟
Any donations big or small, are hugely appreciated! ❤️
Thank you
