My updates

welcome to my world

Saturday 14th Feb
Presley was born September 2004,
At the age of 3 ge was diagnosed with aspergers syndrome/hyperlexia.
He started school like any other child if his age. But he was different, he obsessed over certain subjects. His obsession was music, speakers, anything to do with sound.
Fast forward to junior school, and he could not cope. Nor could his teachers. The school was given funds to employ a one to one to help our son. There were 3 people who applied for the role, 3 were qualified and 1 was a dinner lady at the school, I think you know what's coming,  and if you guessed right. The dinner lady was given the job.
She had no clue what so ever. Oh sorry I forgot that she fid a 3 day coarse on autism. We were disgusted!!!
Fast forward again and after many phone calls. Letters and emails we finally got an ideal provision for Presley at a specialist school. They were brilliant with him. Of course we had hood days and absolutely horrible days,  where ge refused to attend school but we all worked together and got Pres back on track.
He was with the school gor 8 years and ended up with brilliant exam results.
Very proud we were of him indeed.
Pres left school. Then attended college. Well what a disaster that was. to cut a long story short. Even with his EHCP, the college did not support our son, which ended up with a permanent exclusion.
( I don't want to go into details as it was horrendous and not Presleys fault)
Poor lad ended up staying in. His bedroom all day as he did not want to do anything anymore and felt unwanted and all the emotions that when with all his feelings.
In March 2025. Presley niw 20 years old. Landed a part time cleaning job. Guess where, yes at his special needs school that he had attended for 8 years. Now in 2026, he is still working there and loves it. Plus he still has the support from members of staff who used to be his teachers, he still dlios up and calls them Sir or Miss, even though he is now a member of staff his self and can call them by their first names.
We still go through massive struggles with pres. Very low mood ect...
But we are super proud of him and what he has achieved.
Very well done Presley 👏 🥰❤️🫶🎼🎵🎶🎹🎧🎤
So after a lot and I mean alot of meetings with the school. And nothing was being done. My husband and I decided to take Presley out of yhat school.
