Why I’m doing this
Thursday 26th MarThis cause is incredibly close to my heart.
My daughter, Anastasia-Mae, is 6 years old and has autism. Being her mum is the greatest privilege of my life. Every single day she teaches me something new — about strength, patience, unconditional love, and seeing the world in a completely different (and beautiful) way.
Our journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been challenges, long waits, emotional moments, and times where we’ve had to fight to make sure her voice is heard. But through it all, I’ve promised her one thing — I will always be her voice, her biggest supporter, and her safe place.
Autism is not something that needs to be “fixed” — it’s something that needs to be understood, supported, and accepted. That’s why this walk means so much to me. It’s about raising awareness, creating understanding, and helping build a world where children like my daughter are celebrated for exactly who they are.
