My updates

Small Boy, Big World, Beautiful Mind

Thursday 19th Feb

This year, I’m taking part in a fundraiser that is incredibly close to my heart- supporting autism awareness and advocacy.

My son is 4 years old and autistic. And while the world may have its own understanding of what autism looks like, I want you to know what I see.

I see a little boy who is unbelievably clever.

I see a mind that works in ways that amaze me every single day.

I see determination, curiosity, and a unique way of thinking that constantly teaches me new things.

Most of all, I see love.

Autism isn’t something that needs to be “fixed.” It’s a different way of experiencing the world. Yes, there can be challenges for him and for us as a family, especially in a world that isn’t always built with neurodivergent children in mind. But there is also so much beauty, joy, and brilliance.

Through this fundraiser, I’m hoping to raise money to support resources, research, and services that help autistic children and their families thrive. Early support, inclusive education, and better understanding can make such a difference- not just for my son, but for so many others.

I just wanted to say how proud I am of you. Watching you do this walk for Lazaro honestly means so much, and it says everything about the kind of mum and person you are. The strength, patience, and love you give every single day doesn’t go unnoticed — you’re incredible. Lazaro is so lucky to have you fighting his corner, supporting him, and celebrating him exactly as he is. And I hope you know I’ll always be right here beside you, cheering you on through it all. This donation is just a small way of showing my support, but my love for you and your family goes way beyond that. You’re not just my best friend — you’re my sister, and I’m always in your corner no matter what. You’ve got this, always 💜
