Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

Small Steps, Big Love – Every Step for Nigel

Friday 13th Feb
This year I’m taking part in Walk for Autism 2026 in honour of my incredible son, Nigel.
Every step I take is for him. For his strength. For his challenges. For the beautiful, unique way he sees the world. Autism is part of our daily life, and while the journey isn’t always easy, it is filled with love, learning, and moments that make me so proud to be his mum.
I’m walking to raise awareness, understanding and support for autistic individuals and their families. The world can feel overwhelming at times, but with more awareness and kindness, it can also become a place where children like Nigel can truly thrive.
