My updates

Hey..

Thursday 12th Mar
Many people don’t realise that autism in girls can look very different. Girls often learn to mask their autism from a very young age. Masking means hiding their struggles, copying other's behaviour, forcing eye contact, and pretending they understand social situations when they actually feel overwhelmed or confused.
Because of masking, girls with autism are often missed or diagnosed much later. On the outside they may seem like they’re coping, but inside they can feel exhausted, anxious and misunderstood.
I’m doing this walking challenge not only for my daughter, but also for myself and my friend’s son. Autism affects each person differently, but raising awareness about things like masking helps people understand the hidden struggles many autistic girls and women face every day.
Your support really means the world to us and helps bring more awareness to something that is often misunderstood. Thank you so much for sponsoring and supporting our journey.
