I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

This March, I’ll be taking part in a walk for autism awareness — not just as a supporter, but as a father.

I’m the dad of a beautiful 5-year-old daughter who is non-verbal. She may not use words to tell me about her world, but she communicates in so many powerful ways — through her expressions, her laughter, her resilience, and the unique way she experiences life.

I’m walking for her.

For the moments people don’t always see.

For the daily challenges, the small wins, the patience, the unconditional love, and the strength it takes to raise a child in a world that isn’t always designed with our children in mind.

Autism doesn’t need fixing — it needs understanding, acceptance, and support. Awareness leads to compassion, compassion leads to inclusion, and inclusion can truly change lives — not just for autistic children, but for their families too.

Every step I take in March is for my daughter, and for every family walking a similar path. If this post encourages even one person to learn more, be kinder, or see autism through a more compassionate lens, then it’s already worth it.
