I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for 30 days for Autism Initiatives

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 10th March to the 10th April to raise money for this fantastic charity. Please sponsor me. I have decided to take on this challenge due to my line of work, seeing children with autism and want to be able to give them the opportunity to have the best chance to grow with the necessary resources that they need. My brother, Brodan also has been diagnosed with severe autism and sometimes doesn’t get the help he needs, gets looks in shops when he has his meltdowns. Not everyone understands what autism is and people see it as the children just being naughty. I would like knowledge to be shared about autism and how it looks different in everyone ❤️

Any donation is greatly appreciated 😊

Why am I doing this?

Wednesday 4th Mar
I decided to take on this challenge to bring awareness to autism and make a change. Not all children with autism will receive the help they need due to lack of funding in schools and through other agencies. My brother is 6 years old and has been diagnosed with severe autism. It took over 3 years to diagnose him and that shouldn’t be the case. The wait times are too long and people are left to struggle. I want to help with the change and help to get people and children the help and support they need to thrive to their full potential.
