Why am I walking..

Wednesday 18th Mar
I walk for my two daughters. I walk for their future. I walk for their dreams. I walk because I want to see a world that sees them for who they truly are, not as someone who needs to be fixed but as individuals who have immense potential. Every step I take is a reminder of the love I have for them and the fierce protection I feel. As a parent, you want to ensure your children are not only loved but that they are seen and understood. Autism is part of their story, but it doesn’t define who they are. They deserve to grow up in a world that celebrates their uniqueness, that provides them with the tools and resources they need to thrive.
But it’s not just for them. I walk for anyone who needs someone to fight for them. I walk for the parents who feel lost or overwhelmed, for the children who feel invisible, and for the adults with autism who face discrimination, misunderstanding, and exclusion every day. The world needs to change. The world needs to be more inclusive, more understanding, and more accepting of people who have autism. No one should feel alone in their journey. By walking these 10,000 steps, I am standing up for change. Every step is a voice in the fight for better services, better understanding, and better support systems for everyone on the autism spectrum.
