I’m doing it for him 🥰
Thursday 19th FebWalking 10,000 Steps a Day for Autism 💙👣
I’m taking on a challenge — walking 10,000 steps every single day to raise money for autism support and awareness.
I’m doing this in support of my beautiful son, who has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD.
Being his mum has changed me in the best possible ways. He has taught me patience I didn’t know I had, strength I didn’t realise I needed, and a deeper kind of love than I ever thought possible. The way he sees the world is unique, honest, and full of intensity — and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to walk beside him as he grows.
There have been challenges, of course. Days that felt overwhelming. Moments where we’ve both had to be braver than we expected. But there have also been huge triumphs, proud milestones, laughter that fills the whole house, and quiet cuddles that mean everything.
Autism and ADHD aren’t always understood, and the right support can make such a difference — not just for children, but for families too.
So I’ll be getting those steps in every day (even when my legs ache and I’d rather stay in my pyjamas!). Every step is for him. For his future. For understanding. For acceptance.
If you’d like to support me, I would be so grateful for any donation, big or small. And sharing this post helps more than you know 💙
Thank you for cheering me on.
