Autism fight

Being a mum to children with autism means parenting differently than you imagined.
You picture teaching them to ride a bike, play football, or skate down the street.

But sometimes your child doesn’t want to ride the bike.. they want to flip it over and spin the wheels. They don’t want the game, they want the motion and the repetition.

At first, that can hurt. Because you’re not just letting go of activities, you’re letting go of an idea.
But our children aren’t missing out. They’re not broken. They’re experiencing the world in their own way.

Our job isn’t to force them into our version, it’s to meet them in theirs.

And if they’d rather spin the wheels than ride the bike, that’s okay.

The world sees my children differently, the whispering, stares, gossiping! If you could see my children the way i do and treat them with kindness or acceptance the world would be a better place

I am doing a walk for autism to raise as much money for this great cause.
This cause is close to my heart as 2 of my children has autism. One with autism, global delay, pica and nonverbal. The other autism, pda and adhd.  Being able to offer something back would be amazing. Every little helps
