A walk with purpose: supporting autism awareness
Monday 16th MarI’m taking part in a Walk for Autism this year, and it’s something really close to my heart.
My uncle is autistic and nonverbal, and he’s one of the most important people in my life. Even though he doesn’t use words, he communicates in so many other meaningful ways through his actions, his expressions, and the way he connects with the people around him. Being part of his world has taught me patience, understanding, and that communication isn’t just about speaking.
I’m walking to raise awareness, promote acceptance, and support people like my uncle who deserve to be understood, included, and valued exactly as they are.
Every step I take is for him 💙
