My updates

2nd April - Day 8

Thursday 2nd Apr
First one up this morning so went for a run. It was a lovely sunny morning. We all went for a walk to the wetland area to see how it has changed since the last time the lads were here. After lunch we went to Bardsea for a walk all together, all nine of us, and most importantly a Roy’s ice cream! A good end to the challenge this year!

1st April - Day 7

Wednesday 1st Apr
Walked with Jackson, Bleddyn and Jase to the Bakers for bread and hot cross buns. Then went to Old Hall Farm via the Gill path for eggs and back via the lanes. A lovely sunny warm morning.

31st March - Day 6

Tuesday 31st Mar
Walked down past Swarthmoor Hall to meet Mervyn at St Mary’s school. Went for a walk up Birkrigg, Sea wood and along the shore back to car by Old Mill, Bardsea. Finish off walk back home from St Mary’s. A lovely spring day, lots of woodland flowers out and birds singing.

30th March - Day 5

Monday 30th Mar
Met Sally and Caris at Canal foot then walked along shore to priory returning via footpaths to Sandside. Saw swans, heron, mallard, mergansers, redshank, knott, dunlin, gulls, great tits, blue tits, blackbirds, crows, kestrel? Just a few spots of rain today and a lovely walk.

29th March - Day 4

Sunday 29th Mar
Walked to church but missed the Palm Sunday Service (forgot the clocks went forward!). Walked up to Hinning Wood then round by Rossidebefore returning home 360 steps short of the 10,000. Eventually got to 11,189 by the end of the day. Shocking weather, windy and driving rain so got quite wet today.

28th March -Day 3

Saturday 28th Mar
Walked to and from St Michael’s church with Brownie flags and Christening gown for the 200th anniversary exhibition. Visited my clog friend Josie at Staveley House this afternoon, went by bus but walked it home from Dalton via Lindal and Loppergarth. Took the scenic route home from Lindal so it took me nearly 1 1/2 hours!

27th March - Day 2

Saturday 28th Mar
I managed 9,461 steps on a I hour long run from home, around Swarthmoor and Croftlands, by 8.30! By the end of the day the total was 15,809.

26th March - Day 1

Thursday 26th Mar
Walked from home to home in a circular walk along the following route:
Cross-a-Moor, Pennington School, St Michael’s Church, Rosside, Cumbria way path to Gill, Ulverston town centre, St Mary’s Church, Ellie’s garden centre, Rufus Lane.
A lovely sunny day though a little chilly!
