Our autism journey 💛

Monday 2nd Feb
As many may already know, my son Isaac was diagnosed with autism aged 4 after a very difficult battle during covid lockdown accessing health care services. The next battle was obtaining an EHCP from the local council and a place in a SEN school. He missed out on two crucial education early years at school as he was not placed in a school that could meet his needs. After 1000s of complaints meetings with the local MP and the ombudsman he was placed in the most  perfect educational setting where he has flourished the last 2 years. He has gone from non verbal to completely fluent and has hit all the educational targets for a typical 8 year old.

Each year i walk for autism during autism acceptance week. There are 1000s of children who dont have parents who are able to fight the broken system who grow up with no support and go onto be autistic teens and adults. They experience even more adversity lack of support and face ongoing mental health challenges.

I would hugely appreciate any support for this amazing cause that helps support people and families with autism. Each day really is a battle to get access to most basic health and educational support.

Thank you to my donors
