I am the parent of two amazing children — my son and my daughter — both diagnosed with autism. Autism shapes how they experience the world, from how they communicate and process sensory information to how they connect with others. While their diagnosis brings unique challenges, it also brings incredible strengths, honesty, creativity, and resilience. As a family, we navigate therapies, school systems, medical appointments, and daily routines that often require extra planning, patience, and advocacy. What may seem simple to others can be overwhelming for our children, not because they are difficult, but because the world is not always designed with their needs in mind.
This is why autism awareness and support matter so deeply. Families like ours need access to early intervention, inclusive education, community programs, and emotional and financial support that truly reflect real-life needs. Your support helps create opportunities for autistic individuals to thrive and helps families feel less alone in this journey. By donating, you are not just funding services — you are helping build a more understanding, inclusive world where children like my son and daughter are valued, supported, and given every chance to reach their full potential.
