💚Walk for Autism💚

Just a few days away from the 'Big one' 🫣

Lake District 24 x peaks in 24 x hours
30 miles of hiking across the Lake District (or 48.5km)
3,744m in ascent (that's like 2.8 of Ben Nevis height! Or 3.8 of Scaffel Pike 😳 😬)
Completing over 2 consecutive days - goal to complete the 15 x miles each day within the 12 hour time limit 🙌

Weather forecast looks wet and windy 🤣🙈 let's hope for a miracle 😅🤞 It's gonna be tough 👊 but I CANNOT wait ☺️

£431 raised for Autism Initiatives so far 🥹🫶, so grateful to each and every one of you 😘❤️

See you all on the other side 🤣

Day 8 and 242,507 steps walked!

Friday 3rd Apr

Thank you to everyone for your support on our journey.

💚 Day 8- World Autism Acceptance Day

We've raised over £300 for Autism Initiatives which has blown my mind, thank you so much to everyone who has donated 🙏 Every contribution, large or small, lights up a path towards a more inclusive world.

Finishing today on World Autism Awareness Day - Let's celebrate diversity, embrace differences, and support autism acceptance.

Thank you for all the support, 💚 here's some highlights from this year ❤️.

One final challenge in a few days and fundraising page will stay open till the end of the month

Day 4 - Edale Skyline Challenge

Monday 30th Mar
Day 4 and completed the Edale Skyline Challenge. 20 miles in just over 8 hours. Very harsh conditions for the majority with heavy rain and strong winds but that couldn't stop this mum on a mission!

Day 3 - Yorkshire Three Peaks

Monday 30th Mar
Day 3 and the Yorkshire Three Peaks completed in 11 and a half hours. 24 mile and 5712 ft of ascent. Snowy mountain tops and blustery winds! Absolutely brilliant.

Day 2- Ingleton Waterfall Trail

Monday 30th Mar
Day 2 of Walk for Autism and had a lovely 4.5 miles trek on the Ingleton Waterfall Trail, absolutely beautiful 👣

Epic challenges planned

Friday 20th Feb
👣💚 Walk for Autism 2026 💚👣

I will be fundraising for Autism Initiatives again this year and have set myself some epic walking challenges 😎🙌.

Yorkshire three peaks- 24 miles and 1,672m of ascent
Edale Skyline Challenge in the Peak District- 20 miles and 1,200m of ascent
Lake District 24 Peak Challenge- 30 miles and 3,548 of ascent !

Walk for Autism is a challenge to walk 10,000 steps a day over 8 x days, starting on 26th March and ending on 2nd April which is World Autism Awareness Day. (My fundraiser is open now and will stay open until the end of April so some of our fundraising will fall outside the set 8 x days).

Safe to say I'll definitely over achieve on the steps front 😅😆.

I walk for my son Freddie- my inspiration,  my hero, my world 🌎.

Society expectations are unnecessarily tough for neurodivergent individuals 🥺 Awareness,  understanding and acceptance of neurodoversity is still far from evident in most areas 😔. Can you imagine how exhausting it is to navigate a world designed for a neurotypical brain when yours works differently.  Watching your child be judged, criticised and even punished for behaviour they cannot control is truly heartbreaking 💔. I support any organisation who are working tirelessly to improve the lives of autistic individuals whilst also campaigning for a better future for all. My children inspire me to better myself and the world we live in, every single day 🫶💚.

I will share further information of each challenge as they come closer, and details of the walks and challenges we'll be completing as a family, but for now I'm busy training and prepping ☺️. Please help support our cause.
Thank you so much xxx
