10,000 Steps a Day for 8 Days – For Autism Awareness
This challenge is deeply personal to me.
I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day for 8 days to raise awareness and support for autism — a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
One of my children has a full autism diagnosis, and my other two are currently on the pathway for assessment. Every single day, I watch my children navigate a world that doesn’t always understand them. I see their strength, their uniqueness, and their incredible hearts — but I also see their struggles.
Autism isn’t always visible.
What people often see are the meltdowns in public.
The overwhelm.
The exhaustion.
What they don’t see is the zero sleep. The hours spent trying to regulate big emotions. The appointments. The paperwork. The advocating. The constant worrying. The love that runs so deep it hurts.
Let’s be honest — running on no sleep and being judged during your child’s hardest moments is brutal. But I wouldn’t change my children for the world. What needs to change is awareness, understanding, and support.
That’s why I’m doing this.
With every step I take, I’m walking for:
- More understanding.
- More acceptance.
- Better support for families.
- A future where neurodivergent children are celebrated, not judged.
If you can, please donate.
If you can’t, please share.
Every step, every pound, every conversation helps.
Let’s raise awareness together 💙
Thank you so much for supporting me — and for supporting autistic children and their families.
