Autism awareness

❤️💛💚💙🧡

Hey! Louie-Jae (myself and other family members) are doing a sponsored walk of 10,000 steps a day for Autism❤️ From the 26th march- 2nd April. This is a cause that’s SO close to our hearts. As a family this our 4th year of this event. We do this every year for our Louie who inspires us every day, and in doing so we help raise awareness and funds for others, like Louie, who need additional help and support to navigate through day-to-day life. Louie is such a happy, kind and caring soul who brightens the days of anybody he meets. His love for music, life, and his outgoing and friendly personality endears him to many. He was born to shine.  ❤️ We are so excited to share our journey with you all..

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

We will be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to raise money for this fantastic charity. Please sponsor us if you can.

Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated 😊

💚 Day 8💚

Thursday 2nd Apr
Final day complete 🥳💪💚👣 Ending with a lovely walk round one of Louie-Jaes safe places finishing with and ice cream to celebrate another fabulous campaign. We' ve smashing in another 33,870 steps and ending on World Autism Day is what makes this event even more special and worthwhile ♾️ We can't thank everyone enough for your contributions to such an amazing cause, we have obliterated our £125 goal along with our step goal, by raising over £340 & walking over 108 miles in just 8 days👏👏👏 What's even more amazing about that is Louie-Jae has hypermobility syndrome and has pushed himself beyond measure even on days he was in so much pain to forfil his 10,000 steps, works out on average hes walked over 20,000 everyday. We could not be more proud of what hes accomplished over this last week and just goes to show you can do anything if you put your mind to it! ❤️ Our fundraising page is still open to donations until 30th April if anyone would like to contribute to such a great cause https://www.walkforautism.co.uk/fundraisers/Louie-JaeLauraRowbotham It's now time to rest our blistered & swollen feet and my stiff and achy bones!!! Wishing everyone a lovely easter weekend 🐰🐣🍫 💚👣 TOGETHER WE HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE 💚👣 #WeWalkForAutism #EveryStepMatters #AutismAwareness #WorldAutismAwarenessDay

💚 Day 5 💚

Monday 30th Mar
💚 DAY 5 💚
In order to make up for lack of steps yesterday we've pushed ourselves today resulting in blistered feet, aches and pains all over and a swollen achilles tendon after 2 huge walks including a lovely walk with louie-Jaes cousins who he doesn't really get to see much,  so was lovely they wanted to get involved  then and  hours clubbercise this evening. Todays total is the most we've ever done in 4 years of doing this event, a huge 40, 361 steps equivalent to 18 miles! No wonder im unable to move this evening 🤣

💚 Day 4 💚

Monday 30th Mar
Sunday was bit of a lazy day to give Louie-Jae time to recharge after a bonkers few days of walking, to make things worst he didn't put his fitbit back on after his morning shower so no count for him. However Craig and myself managed to reach the minimum 10,000 steps required.

💚 DAY 3 💚

Monday 30th Mar
Saturday was an extremely busy day so Louie-Jae managed to rack up more than 21,000 steps, we even had the newest member of the family accompanying us on our walk around the freshney.  We've had lots of donations coming in today so  our current amount raised is a whopping £274. So thank you to each and everyone who is supporting Louie-Jae on his adventures

Another 31,639 steps walked which means in 3 days we've already hit our 80,000 quota 💪💚👣

💚Day 2 💚

Friday 27th Mar
Today was a challange after getting over excited yesterday myself and Louie-Jae have woken this morning in alot of pain! However we've muddled through and done a 2 mile walk, and had a busy day of shopping, housework  and swimming  which has still allowed us to hit our daily step count.

Louie-Jae alone has managed a whopping 12,000 steps and is very proud if himself.

The grand total for Day 2 is 22,773 steps or  10.9 mile.

Fingers crossed tommorrow brings us some sunshine as we have a lovely route planned 🌞🦆🏞

💚Day 1 💚 He's smashed it!!!

Thursday 26th Mar
So Incredibly proud of Louie-Jae today, hes exceeded his own expectations and is thrilled with his hard work. 31,530 steps/ 15.8 miles walked between us, so now time to rest our sore feet ready for day 2.

💚 WE ARE ALL SET FOR LAUNCH DAY 💚

Sunday 22nd Mar
We are all set ready to go on Thursday, we will keep you all updated with photos, maps of our routes and our daily step count. We want to say a huge thank you to you all for donating to our page and continuing to support Louie-Jae and our family. We are very much looking forward to this event and sharing the journey with you. 💚TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE 💚
