I'm walking 10,000 steps a day for Autism Initiatives

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th March to 2nd April to raise money for this charity for the second year in a row!

I didn't take any photos today, but I did get a lot done. I was more productive than I thought I would be and in being productive lost track completely of how many steps I had actually done!

Why?

It's been just over a year since I myself have been diagnosed with Autism. 
I did this walk last year for the same reason I am this year. To help give a voice to those that are non verbal and to help raise awareness. We are living in a very neurotypical world navigating as neurodivergent, not all things are easy. 

I myself have had to re-learn and re-navigate around the world because it simply isn't tailored for autistic people. I have had challenges that i've faced and had to find out what works for me and what simply doesn't. 

By doing this fundraiser I am hoping to raise money for the charity to support families and autistic people themselves by what it provides.
